Somatic and mindfulness based therapy
Trauma does not just live in your memories. It lives in your shoulders, your breath, your startle response, and your sense of safety.
Why talking alone sometimes isn't enough
You may already understand your story. You can explain your childhood, name your patterns, and see exactly why you react the way you do. And yet the anxiety still spikes, the numbness still descends, and your body still braces as if the danger never ended.
That's because trauma is stored in the nervous system, not just the narrative. My approach blends talk therapy with somatic and mindfulness practices: mindful awareness of body sensations, breath, and the felt sense of safety in the room, helping your nervous system settle and slowly widening your capacity for calm, connection, and joy.

This approach can help with
- Childhood trauma and complex trauma (C-PTSD)
- Recovery from narcissistic abuse and emotionally abusive relationships
- Religious trauma, spiritual abuse, and faith deconstruction
- Chronic stress, survival mode, and nervous system overwhelm
- Anxiety, panic, and feeling disconnected from your body
- Developing safety, regulation, and resilience from the inside out
What a session feels like
Gentler than you might expect. We talk, and as we talk I'll invite you to notice what's happening in your body: where things tighten, where they settle, what happens when you're truly listened to. Nothing is forced. Your body sets the pace, and over time it learns something no amount of insight can teach it: that it is safe now.
